AN EXAMPLE OF HOW WE OPERATE
Our Munich based client, Acceleron, is facing production shortages in their precision-gasket manufacturing line.
To continue production, they require 1.000 specialized copper rings.
Their supplier in Mexico City has two boxes full, ready to go.
We get notified on Tuesday, 20:11 CEST Time.
FIRST STEP, 20:11-20:35 CEST
Calculating driving time, checking flight options, booking one of our couriers
Our experienced courier in Mexico City, Marco, is available and immediately gets notified of the mission request.
The supplier, Marco and the airport "MEX" are all close to each other. The next ideal flight routing is a Lufthansa flight from Mexico City to Frankfurt leaving in 7 hours, then connecting to Munich. Tickets are available and Acceleron receives a quote from us with pricing, time-frame and flight-routing.
After the quote gets accepted we immediately book all necessary flights, notify Marco again and get in contact with the supplier to organize a pickup-time and location.
SECOND STEP, 21:00-23:00 CEST
Pickup, check-in at the airport, customs export
Upon getting the green-light from the supplier, Marco drives off to pick up the cargo. At 21:11 CEST/13:11 local time Marco arrives at the supplier, takes ownership of 4 boxes and drives directly to the airport MEX. By 22:30 CEST he arrives at the airport and begins wrapping the boxes to decrease the chance of damage in transit. After checking himself and all four boxes in with Lufthansa, he makes his way to the customs bureau together with a customs broker hired by the supplier and begins the customs export process. By 23:00 CEST Marco is done with export, where the customs office, together with Lufthansa staff, will transport the boxes into the cargo hold of the Boeing 747-8.
THIRD STEP, 23:00-17:00+1 CEST
Cargo tracking, takeoff and transit
Marco has made it through airport security without issue and is heading over to the gate. On his Lufthansa app he is tracking the exact position and status of the 4 boxes.
To be safe he asks the gate staff if the 4 boxes have been loaded on board a few minutes before boarding begins. Both the app and Lufthansa staff confirm all boxes have been loaded safely. 19:00 local time Marco boards flight LH499 non-stop to Frankfurt. Arriving 11 hours later without delay, Marco goes through passport control and heads to the next gate. The 4 boxes will be routed automatically by Lufthansa onto the next flight. 15:00 CEST, one hour before flight LH112 is due to board, Marco arrives at A11 and again checks his Lufthansa app and with the gate staff, to ensure everything gets loaded correctly to his direct flight to Munich.
FOURTH STEP, 17:00-18:00 CEST
Arrival at destination airport, retrieval and customs
17:10 CEST, LH112 departing from Frankfurt, arrives on time in Munich airport. Within 20 minutes Marco has deplaned and made it to the baggage belts. All 4 boxes arrive in good condition with minimal visual wear. With a German customs "MRN" number and cargo in hand, he makes his way to customs, where he proceeds to import the entire cargo.
By 18:00 CEST, Marco is outside the airport and meets Frank, our dedicated driver, which signs off and takes ownership of the 4 boxes.
FIFTH STEP, 18:00-18:30 CEST
Final delivery
Our driver, Frank,leaves the airport at 18:09 CEST, and makes the short drive out to Acceleron's headquarters, north of Munich.
Just 20 minutes later, at 18:30 CEST, he arrives and calls the warehouse manager of Acceleron, Martin, to hand deliver all inventory documents, customs documents and the 4 boxes containing the 1.000 custom copper rings.

Less than 24 hours after Acceleron realized their supply bottleneck and experiencing a production stop, they are now able to continue their factory lines and proceed with manufacturing.
Our operations team had established communications between Acceleron and our courier/driver every few minutes to enable real time updates about the situation.
